The Planning and Budget Office (OPP) is an executive unit of the Presidency of the Republic. One of its main tasks is to advise the Executive Branch in the definition of the Government's economic and social strategy and in the formulation of national and departmental plans, programs and policies consistent with it.
The OPP worked in coordination with different state institutions, academia, the private sector and organized civil society in the formulation of future scenarios that served as input for the preparation of the National Development Strategy, Uruguay 2050.
