The General Directorate for Transparency and Prevention of Corruption is dependent on the Secretariat for Transparency and the Fight Against Corruption. The Secretariat's mission is to institutionalize and promote the practice and culture of transparency, accountability, internal control, acquisitions and contracting in the central administration for the prevention of corruption, recovery and strengthening of the Rule of Law, through the formulation, coordination of anti-corruption strategies and programs, as well as the supervision of the execution of public policies of the Open State, simplification and optimization of government processes, services and citizen procedures that lead to strengthening citizen participation mechanisms for the refoundation of the State, promoting good governance practices.
