Over the past few years, the countries of the region have afforded increasing importance to land-use planning within their policies and instruments on territorial development. The Observatory has compiled policies and plans on land-use planning at the national and subnational levels in the 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, with a view to identifying trends in the different countries.
